Just the facts

For this past week:

330 + feet of new pasture fence built
~ 25 people here for 4th of July celebration
Way too many late nights
A whole lot of very good food consumed
Several very hot days

Egg count for the week of 6/29/2014 thru 7/5/2014:

  • Eggs gathered: 67
  • Sold: 3 dozen
  • Traded for labor (fence building) or used for picnic: 13 dozen
  • Cartons filled: 5

It has been a busy week, not everything got done or even started that I intended to do. Well, there is always tomorrow!

End of the month and the impending invasion of family

Thirty Nine years and counting

DuckSoup and his compatriate Stevie(the wonderduck) did not survive their second day. Not sure what happened, they were the smallest of the bunch. Could be they got trampled by the others or something else equally obscure. Continue reading

The eggs are hatching!

I forgot to mention last post that Saturday the 3rd of May was the 25 day mark for the eggs in the incubator. That meant I had to take the turning  mechanism out, increase the humidity and decrease the temperature. Continue reading
